Dogs came out on the 6 ball, hill/hill. Shane goes through.

Quan looked unstoppable, but the crowd knew which ball was his doom.

I believe SVB will be matching up next with Karl Boyes (who beat Darren 11-1). And Dennis Orcullo will have Mike Dechaine next. Winners of both matches will face each other.

Jayson Shaw doesn't miss anything. Looks completely invincible.

Yet, Raj Hundal takes him down this round, 11-9

No shame in that...sucks to lose, but it was a fine effort still.

Basically two errors cost him the match-- one on the double hill, but also the first one he made to let Shane start the comeback from down 7-10.

The last one on the 6 was simply jarring the ball in the pocket because he'd played a little too much pace on a stop or slight draw shot.

The first one on a 3 ball was some kind of power stroke gone very bad. It wasn't clear to me what he was trying to do, but maybe it was to force follow after the shot and come back down table after a pretty full ball hit. Whatever his plan was, the shot missed badly by maybe a quarter diamond to the short rail side and the 3 almost skipped up off the cloth as it went 2-1/2 rails with a lot of speed. A very uncharacteristic shot, and it almost seemed that being on the hill and being so close to beating Shane had made him shoot very quickly without rhythm.

He played two decent safeties in the last game, and while Shane made good hits each time, the last safe gave him an out position he simply saw slip away with that jarred 6 ball.
