Shane Van Boening stroke shot the other night

Was this like this past Thursday night? I was on my way there but the roads were still so bad I had to give up and turn back. Sounds like I missed a great weekly tournament.

Here's the link of Larry Nevel doing it frozen to the rail.

The most impressive thing in this video isn't just that he does it frozen to the rail... he jacks up one handed and draws it straight back. Crazy stroke.

That was a 6 foot table, no?

I didn't see the shot I'm talking about on this video. The shot I'm talking about he freezes the CB to the foot rail, makes the first ball in one corner pocket on the head rail and draws three rails around the table to make another ball in the other corner pocket on the head rail. I saw him do it on a 9-foot GC3 at Chris's in Chicago (several years ago).

Maybe not, and I'm sure he can pull off the shot Shane was doing, but you have to admit that shot he tries and pulls off eventually at the 2:30 mark is hard to beat; one handed with the cue ball frozen on the rail and he draws the cue ball all the way back. Very impressive.

I heard that a week or so earlier, Shane was drawing the original shot I posted 5 rails back to where the cue ball started. I didn't see that but that's a lot of draw if he was indeed doing that.

Using a little bhe ,low left on the cb this shot really isnt as hard as it looks.
As long as you can draw the rock with good speed to the first rail the spin will do the rest........

I'd love to be there for the one pocket tournament but things keep coming up. Today we're taking the kids to the Nuggets game. I hate missing the monthly one pocket tournament there though, it's a good one.

See, you showed up anyway, good seeing you again.

Guess who showed up late...SVB himself

Shane & Danny Medina got into a money nine ball game, playing even.
When I left Shane was not missing too many shots.
Danny won a game, then hopped the CB off the table OTB, which isn't good when you're play Shane.

The kid can play a little bit.

Danny was playing him even? Maybe he was able to dig deep and find his old gear... I only saw it once and it might not have been his best from what I've heard. It was in the finals of the first Burt Kellerman tournament at the old Shakespears, he played just about perfect.

Do you know what they were playing for?

I always miss the action! Oh well, we saw the Nuggets win.

this video of larry nevel has been posted before. if you can ignore billy sikes running his mouth and the giggling chipmunk, it's very entertaining to watch.

I find it impossible to believe Billy Sikes could be running his mouth. The hell you say!

Glad the Nuggets won.

They couldn't have been playing for much, and it's possible Shane was giving him something on the wire, but Danny was running down to the nine.
He did offered Skinner the 6 & out when they were woofing back & forth.
I was playing 8 & 9-ball on 15, had been there for 8-hours and I'm not a big "rail-bird", so we just watched a few games and left.

Shane made a strong shot where he couldn't see the whole ball, threw it in the corner and still pulled fairly difficult shape.
It was really a tough shot, especially on table 1.
He bobbled a couple of balls and Danny ran out when he did, but I don't think too many people can rock with Shane, and Danny's game is far from what it was in the 80's.
I think Shane is in another stratosphere right now, even with that Cuetec.

Table Steaks is a great place.

Medina vs.SVB

first let me make this clear,I WASN'T THERE-I MISSED THE MATCH

but the story l got from a witness. Frank the owner of Tablesteaks is that the game was 6 ahead for 300 tacos. Danny was impressive and at one point Shane was just watching play with a look of "Who is this Guy ? !"
Don't know how many sets they played but l believe Danny won some

the result :

Shane won ...up two sets and yes they played EVEN !!!

CONGRATULATIONS MR.MEDINA YOU MADE A BELIEVER OUT OF THOSE WHO MUST-TA FORGOT AND I'M SURE SHANE WONT FORGET YOU OR CONFUSE YOU WITH EASY ACTION....keep up the good work and good luck with your future and your comeback.

You were a true hustler and a legend in your own time, and it ain't over yet.

Every state has someone everyone worships. Then that person go's out and play"s in the real world and realizes they SUCK.

WTF are you talking about ? Danny Medina' game is legend -who are you to throw salt on it ? He has earned more respect than that or perhaps you just don't know who your talking about - in that case
you better ask somebody.
