Anyone want to sort of recap for me the history between Shane and alex?

I am watching tar 21? the 1 where AP came back from a big deficit to win on the 3rd day of play.Ive heard this is the best ever race to 100..

I had no idea that they had played so many times or that Alex has held his own and then some?Looks like this is a pretty good rivalry all be it a rivalry where both players respect each other and maintain perfect decorum.

Thanks guys for the replies.Alex was like a little bull terrier going after the biggest bull around.You can see the respect on both sides though.
 
If you ever get to see Alex gamble of a 10ftr don't pass it up his game on the big track is in my opinon the best in the world bar none
 
You could say that couple of years ago but not so much now. Shane has taken to 1pkt like the proverbial duck to water. I don't think there's anyone on the planet that has to like it playing Shane now... INCLUDING Efren < bold statement I know. Shane just shoots too straight... you give him a tester and he just breaks it off in there good. You have to play pretty much perfect to beat him IMO

I know SVB is now a very good 1 pocket player, but I heard that Alex eventually got the better of him last month at Hard Times playing 1 pocket
 
That doesn't tell the whole story though. Shane had him $10,000 stuck and Alex somehow clawed back to get a little ahead. Think they must play pretty close to even in 1 pocket.

If SVB could just learn to play snooker as well as Alex ...... :grin:
 
alex plays all games well even straight pool. His snooker game is pretty jam up for mainly playing in north america too Cliff Thorburn was his first mentor
