I had the pleasure of cradling this cue in my hands at the 2012 Southern Classic in Tunica.
It was hands-down the most beautiful cue I've ever seen. A complete work of art. I didn't get a chance to shoot with it and honestly, I don't have the cajones to ever ask Shannon to do so. I'm truly afraid I'd accidently do something stupid.
Just a day or 2 later, I had the opportunity to meet Andy and his wife on the shuttle bus. We had a great, lil 10 minute conversation. Nicer people, I've never met.
Come to find out, Andy was only about 2 hours and 15 minutes from where I lived. If I didn't have Gary Johnson as my cuemaker, I'd jump on a Gilbert in a heartbeat.
Maybe if I become flush with money someday, I just might pull the trigger.
Simply the best cue I've ever seen or held.
