Shattered 314

Frankly, anyone moronic enough to break with a Z2 deserves everything they get, especially if it's a heavy CB.

It's idiots like them that make the rest of us get shafted.

Breaking with a cue should never damage it, there are shots you need to hit almost at full force during a game. In the Ernie Guiterez interview on TAR, at one point he takes out an ivory handled cue and said "I break with this thing to show people that you don't have to worry about breaking a fancy cue that's made well".

I was at the Super Billiards Expo and took my 314 shaft to the Predator booth. It had what I thought were scratches but wasn't sure. The Predator rep looked at it and said they thought it was also scratches but would take it to the guy that fixes all their tips, ferrules, etc. He said it was cracked. They told him to fix it and put it on their tab. Made me a believer.

Good luck with your response.

Guys that play with Predator are always surprised how well my OB shaft plays.... they really like it.

So, not sure why more folks don't support the guys that build the cues in Texas and have top notch customer service versus the guys in China who don't want to return your call ?

Just seems a bit odd, but some folks are not even aware that Predator is built outside the US.... go figure... I guess they don't put "made in China" stickers on their cues ;)

I would assume that if you play with a 314 or Z2 you know how these shafts are constructed and for obvious reasons you don`t break with them!

I think predator is by far the MOST overrated company/product out there! from there cues to there ridiculous chalk! I cant belive people fall for the hype! with that being said I do shoot with an old 314 shaft and the ONLY reason I bought it was because it only cost me $50. good luck with your warranty.

Predator has ridiculous chalk? I like it and it's doesn't cost much at all. Five pieces for $8 dollars.

Maybe you are thinking about the other brand where it is $28 per piece....:D

I have been playing with Predator shafts and cues for many years I have never had any issues I hope you have a good result. I have been using their chalk for most of this year and I think it's great.

You would have better luck getting blood out of a rock. I have not bought a predator anything since the Z2 I bought warped a week after I got it. Waste of paper.

I assume most of you are aware of this, but when dealing with almost any business or organization:

Regardless of any official policy, warranty, guarantee, employee handbook, etc....
How you get treated largely depends on who you get on the other end of the phone.

Some predator reps will replace a shaft with minimal hassle.
Others refuse to do it. It depends on random things like that rep's personality,
work ethic, their past experience with warranty replacements, their mood that day,
and whether or not they like your tone.

If you get no satisfaction with your first rep, try another.
I've gotten good results shopping around for the right employee
who can empathize with the customer.

Do they have a team of people dealing with repairs?
