In the best final we have ever seen at Hagerstown Billiards & Cafe Shaun "The Shirt" Wilkie defeated "Genie Man" Ryan McCreesh 11-10. Ryan was flying going into Sunday and was then put to the one-loss side by the equally on fire Shaun Wilkie. On the one-loss side Ryan defeated a very strong Lee Holt (7-1) who had just eliminated B.J. Ussery.

Wilkie took an early 4-1 lead then Ryan made his move and got the match to 6-6. Both were playing well but couldn't seem to string together any multiple rack runs after the match hit 6-6. With the score 10-8 McCreesh made a great jump shot on the 4 ball. However, the cue ball followed the four in the hole. Wilkie finished out that rack then fought back to knot the score at 10-10. You could have heard a pin drop in the last rack!!! McCreesh got to the table made a very difficult shot on the 5 then buckled the 6 ball. Wilkie finished the rack for the win.

Lee Holt finished 3rd and I believe it was either Brett Stotlemeyer or BJ Ussery in 4th (not sure)

From the way they were playing yesterday, I'm not surprised these two made it to the finals. Thanks for the update! I'm sure the women were still playing when you left (dang they're slow! :p ) You didn't happen to check out how any of them were doing before you left did you?

They were still playing when I left. My back was killing otherwise I would have stayed. Sueyen Rhee (who is beautiful by the way) had put Pam Treadway in the one-loss side earlier. When I left Sueyen was playing in the winners side final and Pam Treadway was playing the semi-final I believe. Not sure who Pam was playing. I know the gal Sueyen was playing but do not even want to attempt to spell the name cause I'm sure I'd butcher it.

Sueyen Rhee defeated Malea Haacke 9-5 in the final. My-Hanh Lac came in 3rd with Pamela Treadway in 4th.

Brett did finish in 4th with Ed Deska and Ussery in 5/6th.

WOW, what a finale, Shaun the Shirt Wilkie versus Ryan "Genie Man" McCreesh! Wish I could have seen it, as I know it was a hard-fought battle to the finish.

Shaun is one of Maryland's best-kept secrets. He attends quite a few regional tour events, and often played in pro-caliber tournaments when time allows. He's a nice kid and is one of pool's finest upcoming stars.
