Sweet looking project you got there, Matt. Looks as though Mr. Klein worked some magic for ya.

Looking forward to seeing it in person sometime down the line.

Hoping to see some progress pics of mine soon, too. I'll share 'em when I get 'em.

Be good, and it sounds like it's gonna be a very merry X-mas for ya this year!! :) ;)

VERY nice cue Matt...Was it your design, or was it his? I actually like the inlays in this cue, and as you may know, I prefer plain cues. Again, VERY NICE!!! Merry Christmas to you!!! ( now where's the one you promised to get me made? ) lol

I gave him the inspiration which was Szam - but he put his own touches in there. I'm very, very pleased with how it is turning out. I see more Kleins in my future for sure!

Wow, nice Szamsperation !! You must have been a good boy this year. :) You'll love playing with it. Steve's cues have an wonderful hit.

Wow....it's nice to see who this cue is going to. I've talked a lot with Steve about cues and this cue in particular too. I live fairly close to him and he is also working on a conversion for me. Anyway, great looking cue. You definitely won't be disappointed! Steve's cues are top notch!!

Very Sharp looking cue you are getting there.

Looks like Santa came early for you!

Congrats, and don't forget to post pics when you get it!

P.S. What is the wrap going to be?

Classic white linen w/ green specs.

I've also ordered three shafts. The man is very particular about doing things right, and I definitely appreciate that.

I've really enjoyed my experience with Steve. He's building me two more cues next year, and three in 09. We're going to try and do something different design-wise with each one.

Yeah, old Steve's pretty cool....for a Navy puke.

Gee - I resemble that remark! But I guess nothing like an old navy puke with a bubble head on my end...

Love the work in the cue and some of the design elements are some of the traditional things I look for in cues I would love to own. The work design is exceptional and the details in the workmanship are equally out of this world. You have a great looking cue coming your way.

Hiya Matt,

White with green, bro? I would have pegged you for a white with light blue specs wrap...given the veneer colors.

Don't get me wrong....the cue's gonna look great. That just means that I don't know you as well as I thought. You strike me as a guy that needs everything color coordinated......and you're such a fan of the blue bandit, I thought the color would be a lock!!! :) :)

Still can't believe you sold the bandit, bro. I figured you'd have that thing forever!

Very nice cue, Matt. Just curious how long ago you ordered it and got the design finalized? Enjoy your Christmas present.

I guess I got in touch with Steve around a year ago? We had plenty of time to get the design finalized before he started building the cue. He was really informative and even really made me see how a few of the original ideas I had for him to do, were perhaps "below" what he could really do and what we decided on. I wasn't challenging him enough :).

Honestly, I don't think this cue is a representation of his full capabilities/talent, but it is what I wanted. He touched up my idea with his artisty. We're going to work on pushing his design limits over the next 5 cues I'm on his list for.

I can see why you guys become collectors, because I've just had a great time discussing designs with him and coming up with something personal for me. I really just want to give him a broad idea of what I want for the next one, and the price I want to pay and just let him go nuts. That will be exciting.

I hope Steve doesn't get mad at me, but he has some projects going that will blow some minds if and when the cues get out there. He doesn't do a lot of self-promotion, but he's sent me some pics at my own request, so I'm glad to toot his horn. He's doing some beautiful work.

Great minds, bro....great minds. I'm on tap for multiple Kleins as well.

I just sent Steve some pics and specs of the 2nd cue I'd like him to make for me. You're right...he's been an absolute pleasure to deal with, and is as up-front and forthcoming as it gets.

The first thing the guy who bought it did was start removing the tape. I took the cue from him and told him I would do it. Seemed only right......(sniff)

Sorry if I missed it, but did Steve make the prong?

Very nice cue either way, def a cuemaker on the rise.

That is very, very impressive stuff...is it a full splice? I'm sure you'll post a pic of the whole forearm in due time, can't wait to see it!
