I have an AZ member from Croatia interested on my PinkIvory Carmelli with some ivory diamond inlays only (listed in the For Sale section), not the joint or buttcap or any solid rings......with the current regulation on ivory here I am debating whether to ship it or not??? Has anybody shipped cue with minimal ivory on it aboard safely?? I was thinking about shipping thru USPS if its a go.

Thanks so much for any information provided either by pm or reply to this thread.

Frank.

If anyone has they would be rather foolish to admit it in a public forum wouldn't they?

my buddy buys lots of Phillipino cues with ivory and they come in with a black rubbery material covering the ivory parts.it rubs right off with a mild solvent.not sure what it is exactly but you could probably use a black magic marker to color them or whatever color the surrounding wood is,then when the guy receives the cue he could wipe the ink off with naptha or rubbing alcohol or something else mild enough not to hurt the clear.

It'll catch up with him sooner or later. Then he'll have a new place to live plus three hots & a cot! Maybe a new girl friend too :D

Unfortunately, the only easy way is to not make cues from materials that are subject to international treaties or trade bans. Sorry for the bad news ,but that is where I am at.
To me the hoops are just not worth it in reality.
