Beware- most freight companies only offer curbside delivery- if you are shipping to a residence they will not bring the table into a home or even a residence garage- only to the street curb or driveway- A pool table installer may need to meet the truck at the home of installation or pick up the table at the trucker's depot - only an actual moving company or pool table installer will enter your home for delivery - they will cost more money than a freight company in many instances.
There is a big difference between freight truckers, moving companies, and pool table installers. Most, but not all pool table installers will work within 100 miles or so of their home base- so how far are you moving the table? If you want to move the table long distances, you need to decide if the table needs to go from inside one home or location to inside another home or location- and if table set up is required at the final destination.
"Handling" pool tables is just too general a term to give you a definitive answer to your question. So, for a better more accurate answer- would need to know city/ state pick up to destination city/ state? Next question is in home to in home install or just curb side to curbside pick up and delivery?
I know a few table installers here in Southwest Florida- but that depends on the answers to these questions.
