Shippping a Table cross country

What would be the best way to have a table moved from one part of the country to the other? Not many of the tables I am interested in are available for sale locally, my local table mechanic can go pick them up for a mileage charge. But what is the least expensive and safest way to have a table moved?

I am located in Oklahoma, and many of the tables I find are in Florida, North East, West Coast, etc.

Thanks for the help,

I had a table shipped from San Diego to Boston via Yellow Freight terminal to terminal for $400.00 about 10 years back. You have to deliver the table packaged for shipping to one of their terminals and pick it up at another. We asked for a special rate as well, but I can't remember the name now.

moving a table long distance

There are a few options to move a table long distance..
1) Freight: cost for disassy/crating , shipping, uncrate/installation
2) Long distance table move/install

I am one of very few mechanics in the NorthEast (Phila, PA area) that will do long distance table moves. Obviously, I would need the logistics of the move to get you an accurate quote. If you find a table in my area (150mi radius is normal though I will go much further), I can crate it for freight and get it to a local terminal for pickup. Also, I am looking to plan a trip heading out west in the coming months but planned ahead is crucial. The furthest I have gone this year was to SW Missouri. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

Thanks for the replies, I was looking for a Gold Crown table. However this weekend I found one roughly 200 miles away and went and picked it up myself. In my area very few GCIV of GCV come up for sale, which is why I was looking to ship.
