It looks like your "good luck" worked....because I ended up beating Helena! Sorry I didn't do better against Karen....a couple of bad rolls caused her to get ahead 7-3 instead of me catching up 5-5. She missed a 9-ball and left me no shot. And I ran a rack, but got bad position on the 8-ball, which caused me bad position on the 9-ball. I made a table length, back-cut on the 9-ball, and the cue-ball headed toward the side pocket. But instead of scratching in the side, the cue ball caught the point and shot straight up the rail into the corner pocket.
Karen is tough to beat if you keep the match close, but she is near impossible to beat if she gets a significant lead. I just let the match get away from me a little bit...but every time I play her, I learn and it gets a little easier to stay in my own game.
