"Yup.. But I don't think you'll believe in that C player stuff after I take the 10-7 you offered me and I cram it up your ***.....

But, while you still are convinced you know my speed, please let me know which pool hall you play out of, and your full name, so I know where to come to get that sweet, sweet, game.

Russ"

I actually offered a little more - 10-7 and the breaks 6 ahead for $2000 at Hardtimes in Bellflower.

My question is am I wasting my time negotiating with the Short Bus or do you think he is for real in wanting to play????? Has anyone ever heard of him playing for decent stakes? (e.g. $250 a game or more) Can he afford to lose thousands? (I don't want to be responsible for him doing another work stint in Iraq.)

An inquiring mind wants to know.

I'd love to know Wayne's speed as well. Do you think an realistic estimate of his skill level will be portrayed here?

How much better does he play against other short stops like Ed Ames ?

Russ already has his nickname.

LOL. I will be realistic, I never hide my speed. The earlier poster probably had the wrong Hardtimes because Bellflower has a one-pocket tournament but not a handicapped one as far as I know.

I play almost exclusively in Los Angeles. I did play in the 2 US Open one-pocket tournaments in Las Vegas and finished 9-12 both times. I also played once at Derby City and finished well in the money but I forget what spot (around 30th I think).

I haven't played many of the northern Cal. players but I did play Billy Palmer even for $100 a game and he drilled me once (7 games) and we broke even once. I played Jeff Gregory 5 or 6 years ago and I think I spotted him a ball and we broke even. I think I played Joey Gebron once in Reno and he beat me hill-hill in a race to 3 or 4.

The best players I play even cheap are Tang, Santos, Rich Grenier and Gary Abood. I am the underdog against all of them but they won't spot me anything.

I played the Russian once (Stalev) about 5 years ago and he gave me 9-7 for $100 a game and I won $1000.

I play King Kong even and we are about even but he is a little ahead of me for the cash. I played Morro even and he beat me in a race to 4 for a few hundred.

I played Filipino Alex from Riverside a bunch of times even and robbed him in one-pocket but he is the better 9 ball player.

I have offered Jay Helfert a couple of balls but he continues to duck me and then bark about playing banks.

I played Vagabond in a tourney and he can tell you how I play if he wants to.

Hope this helps.

Wayne

He did spend alot on that Garage, and its hard to tell how many thousands its going to take for DVD's, Instruction, and the divorce. Dedication is a hard and lonely road. GL!

Ahhh while this may be true cuetechasaurus,we are talking about the Iraq champ here...maybe Wayne should get some weight? At least the breaks I think...and perhaps the called 8 ...maybe?

You guys discuss it amonst yourselves.I,for 1,do not play a "heluvalot better then shortstop speed" so its difficult for me to gauge that catagory of play. When people just never miss (which I assume Russ doesn't with all this woofin) it looks the same to this bangers eyes.

Maybe a poll is in order?

Thats some pretty good company Wayne. I know most of those players, and how they play. Hell, most were/are here at the HardTimes tounament this week. Anyone that can play in that crowd, can play.

Wayne can play, that's a fact. If I ever get back in stroke, I'm going to take that 8-6. Only for a 100 a game. I can't seem to get myself motivated to hit balls anymore. And I have a beautiful table 30 feet away.

Who knows a cure for this malaise? Where is Shanelle when you need her?

i haven't been keeping track of this thread but did i hear that right? you have a good table 30 feet from you and don't want to play. i have to drive just over an hour to play on "good" equipment. do it for those who can't man, that's why i eat good. because i know so many people aren't (eating good that is)

:) lol:)

Joking apart, to my certain knowledge there at least two Iraqis who play pretty close to Asian Pro speed 8 and 9 ball. Have never seen Russ play and mean no disrespect but would be fairly confident that unless he's well up to that level he'd be hard pressed to beat these guys for any such vacant hypothetical Iraqi title;)

Last I heard, Shanelle is in Florida working on her tan and posing for Captian Hook's collection of babes!

How's the book on Shanelle coming along? Are you done with chapter 1, entitled "Yum Yum"? :p ;)

You can throw the balls on the floor, then you might find a use for the table. IN YOUR DREAMS. :)

Why hasn't Russ responded yet? I know if I played a "helluvalot" better than shortstop speed I'd be setting myself up some future action. Unless I just barked a "helluvalot" louder than I can actually bite.
