Short Cue problems

What do you guys use to store your short cue. I don't want to take up a slot in my hard case for it because it so short but I don't want to be bring it in by hand either. Anyone sell a separate case that you can strap/ or hook on to your existing case? If it's worth anything I have the cuetec Propel Jump cue.

I am at a retirement community where the experienced players (one is a 102-year-old claiming blindness) hate jump cues. I leave the Cuetec Propel at the pool tables. I put a sticker on it telling users to return it here. No one's stolen it yet. I leave it there so that anyone can use it and to prevent anti-jumping-crowd complaints.

So you're talking about a jump cue and not just a short cue for use in tight places?

I keep my jump cue in my case. I have a 2x5/3x4 JB interior in my King case and it works perfect for this, I use the left and right main butt slots for my playing and break butt and then 2 playing shafts, break shaft and jump shaft in a square in the middle section and right in between all the shafts is one more slot that can be used for a shaft or a butt (though it'd be tight for a full size butt) and I keep my jump butt there because it's quite a bit skinnier than a normal butt.

I use a small section of PVC pipe in the case as a spacer to keep the top of the jump butt at the same height as my playing and break butts. I wrapped it in one of the Revo shaft sleeves I have laying around so it stays put unless I totally empty the case and really shake it out. Works great and probably only cost me a few bucks.

This opens up the pocket jump butt spot (that is too short for modern longer jump butts) for my 8" extension which works out really nicely as well and makes that easy to grab when needed.

I take mine apart and put the butt pieces in the side pocket on my JB. The shaft goes in with all the others.
I'm sure they could make you something.

The standard JB case pouch is too short for the propel jump cue (even when the butt is taken apart), even too short for my Rhino jump cue with the joint protector.
Very few cases are up with the times.
When you get a 4x8 soft case like most pros like these days then there is no issue, but if you like hard tubed case, options are very limited

All you need is enough tubes and a dowel to prop the short one.

I find it stupid to waste a cue space for a jump cue or to buy a larger case than needed for that purpose.
At the moment I have a solution, but if I'll be in the market for a case, this issue would definitely be taken into consideration when making a choice.
