Short Trip to Newark/Philly from 12th-18th Apr

Hi guys,

I will travel to Newark (Delaware) on 12th Apr and return on the Saturday after.

Any good places to shoot some balls I should not miss?
Maybe a nice house tournament going on, or someone just enjoying shooting some pool with strangers?

Just drop me a line and we'll see what can be arranged (working till maybe 7pm-ish possibly, so it'll be in the evenings.
I'll have a car, so if it's worth, I'll be able to drive around a bit.

yep ^^^ best place to visit in the area at that time for a pool nut.
If you are there Saturday, find the junior tournament, it's filled at 64 spots and should be a fun watch. It counts as the PA state championship and the top finishers get a spot on the BEF Nationals.
 
Predator tournament at Steinway. Saturday (4/11) is the Amateur side, Sunday will be Pro side. Sandcastle isn't too far from there also. While you're at it, check out Gotham and their 10-foot Diamond. Mondays and Wednesday nights are 9-ball tournament at Steinway. Monday is Handicapped, Wednesday is not. You can catch Earl, Dechaine and some other high-level players there (at steinway), also during the day.

Wrong city, he's going to Philly.
 
If past history is any indication, New York City will likely be a ghost town as everyone will be down at Super Billiards Expo.
