Shorty's new Varney G10 hustler...

Varney Cues

Handcrafted quality!

Here is Shorty's latest...a new 57" Varney hustler with blk G10 3/8-10 pin. Chad pretty much gave me a free hand on this one...what started out as a straight hustler got a tad bit nicer.;) The cue features a curly maple SW style deco ring with Micarta ringwork in the butt. Natural linen collars & buttcap. This cue also has a custom bumper made of phen sleeved with ABS and it accepts an ultralight 18" extension. The 12.3/4mm shaft is a nice 4.3oz & the cue weighs 19.3oz total. The ferrule is Tigers Saber-T & the tip is a Kamui M. I simply can't make a cue play better than this one. Another unique feature...the cue has no metal in it.
Shorty wanted me to tell you guys to get your post money ready.:D
Enjoy your new Varney my friend.:)

Damn man... you keep posting these awesome pics adds another notch of anticipation in waiting for mine. LOL.

Nicely done KV

varney what do you think of the G10 over the same ss 10 pin???
i use the same centerdrilled ss 10 pin

i know its prob lighter but does it change the play?

im thinking about trying out a few

allen hopkins plays with a rc3 w G10 pin but his cue plays funny bc he only uses triangle tips

57 inches?! For Shorty? I thought he needed a 60" cue!

Awwww, who the hell cares. Its Shorty. You could increase the pocket width to 8 inches and he still won;t pocket a ball and he'll still be a nit!!!

I would be surprised...but I'm biased as I have hit a few balls with it.:)
Of course you really never know. Onthebreak just had me build a shaft for an older Varney...he wanted it to hit as stiff & hard as possible. I did just that...it hits so hard it'll loosen the fillings in your teeth...all the while keeping playability top shelf. He has it less than 24hrs and post it for sale...so you really can't tell.

The G10 allows the cue to flex more in harmony with the wood...allowing for a bit more live "hit".;)

The man was above & beyond friendly with me....even much more so than the typical nice customer. I know he has a past here at AZ but he was a true pleasure to deal with. Even sent me a picture of himself in his wheelchair. An honor for me to build a cue for him.:)

That shaft is the NUTS.
12.75 and it's still 4.3 oz. Simply awesome man.

Thank you.:)
If you look closely, you can barely see in the pics that the shaft is also what I'll call "semi-curly". On a couple of sides you can see the curly in the maple...very old wood & a very, very dense shaft.

Whatever it is I am very impressed. Shafts that heavy seem to be tough to come by, believe me I look.

Kevin, nice work. Watch out Shorty might be looking for a sponsor next to put him on the road.

Neat cue, I'm sure "rolling thunder" ;) will be pleased.

Take care if your reading this:)

!!!!!!!!!!

I think the short mans game just got 2 ball better, that cue should do the trick. Sometimes I miss the short mans dynamic an explosive personality. He always had insight on every topic quite a unique individual. Enjoy your new cue Shorty it should play super great.

Kevin-

Just wait until you get to know him a little better. He's sure to disappoint.
He has a track record for making people hate him with the greatest of ease!
