when i face in any money game lately i just feel intimidated and choke, i just dont play the same, what websites or articles have helped you to over come this, i want to be able to shoot like i practice, in tournaments i just get nervous and choke, i try to slow myself down and i try too hard to make the shot and i miss, what should i do???? this is a major obstacle for me

BlackJack has some good articles on concentration and pressure. PM him.
The Inner Game Of Tennis
Pleasures Of Small Motions
Are books that deal with focus, concentration, and pressure... I think.
I don't try to gamble just for money, I gamble to get experience for pressure situations... the money is just a reward for winning. Even if you lose you still gain experience.

Don't worry about winning or losing money, just shoot against the table.

Hope I gave some good advice.

The best cue sports related book I have ever read!
By Philip B. Capelle

Bob Henning has two books out the Pro Book and the Advanced Pro Book, I think they have some really good information on the mental part of the game.

just a word of advice that has helped me, when your shooting on the 8 or 9, depending on the game, play position for another imaginary ball. instead of expending mental energy worrying about making it, your thought process is going through the same steps as usual with minimal distraction.

only reason why u shoke, is because u are playing the opponent/ the tournament/ the hustler or anything that is stressrelated.
U are not playing the table. A pooltable is totally UNstressing, Tell me one thing that could stress u on a table? theres nothing more relaxing then playing pool!!! remember how relaxed and cool it is to practice alone, without people staring at u, just U , the balls, and the table.

u should just concentrate on the table layout.

THE one thing that helped me true shoking on competition:

If u play a match, dont see it as a 1VS1. See it as a training in a club where there is only 1 table and 2 players, and u both agreed to do small trainingsessions of 1minut or more till u miss a ball, then u can relax, drink a beer, let the other guy train a bit on the same table, and after some minuts its your turn. Dont see it as 1vs1 but as 2 guys training on the same table. (hard to explain what i want to tell as my englisch is EVILISH BAD)

I think that's good advice, except you should be playing the cue ball to a spot that will be relatively safe without making the shot harder. Often you can simply plan to leave the cue ball on the middle of the end cushion, for example.
