ShotCalc is an app I developed for Android platforms that uses the compass and accelerometer sensors to calculate shot angle, contact point, ghost ball location and tip aiming point, all in real time for any shot on a real table. You use it by aiming the camera preview screen from a comfortable standing height.

This is the first public release. It sells for $1.99.

So if I understand the pictures correctly, you.....

1.) Preview it in the camera with center object ball to target spot, corner pocket in this case.
2.) Preview it in the camera with inside edge of cue ball to outside edge of object ball.
3.) Preview it in the camera with center cue ball to center object ball.
4.) Presto, it gives you the shot angle, contact point and ghost ball location.

Yes, No, Somewhere close?

I do have an iPad and a Mac. Maybe if I'm careful I can get it to work for iPhones. I will have to start the project from scratch to do it right. Maybe during the winter when I'm stuck inside.
 
I don't use a system for any aiming, including multi rail kicks, but this is cheap enough to play with just to gather a crowd around you that wants to see what the hell you are doing LOL

Don't use it while playing in a league match, lol!

You'll get a lot more out of it if you use the app while practicing to help with shots you're unsure of. It only takes about 6 seconds to get an answer, not 30.

I wasn't thinking about you or I using it during a match, I was thinking my/our opponents would. Silly. :p
Honestly I don't need the app ,..... HAMB and you'll know where to aim your shot. I just know somewhere down the road of pool match life there'll be some schmuck thinking it is perfectly ok to whip out their phone and use it DURING a match. :thud:
