Should I redo My Table

I have a Brunswick Century Pool table pro 8 table that I purchased new in 1979. I am considering a 8 ft. diamond pro table. My question is. Can I make this table play like a diamond and is it worth doing? I Know it will need the Pockets narrowed, new cushions, new simonis cloth and whatever else is needed. The table is in good condition overall. I recently had a new felt put on it had had the pockets shimmed. I am not happy with the job. But that is another matter. If I decide to upgrade the table I will have professonially done. I appreciate any and all advice .

Thanks,
Jock

The Brunswick Century is not even close to being in the same league with a Diamond 8ft Pro. The sub-frame of your table is made up of plywood, skirts are particle board, and the slate shelves are short.

Hi Jocnat,
I do agree with what RKC said about the frame on your table. However, depending where you live I might be able to help should you decide to keep it. The Diamond tables are amazing, though as a player I think I do prefer the Gold Crown series. I would be interested in talking to you about it, you can reach me at 215-622-8899 or sales@table-tek.com. Thanks

RKC is right. You could have a top-notch mechanic using top of the line materials and you're still not going to get your table to play anything like a diamond.

Although upgrading to a Diamond Table is going to cost quite a bit more than improvements to your existing table, in the long run it's the smart move.

do you mean a one piece Diamond pro am? or pro?

If one piece you need to make sure you have easy access or you will need a 3 piece model.

Suggest you call TT also as talking about options etc is easier then getting written answers
