Do you think lags should be ina 1-2-3 lag format where the tournament director counts down and then the players lag. Watching on tv recently you could see on person waiting a few seconds and then lagging which IMHO gives someone a much better idea on how hard to hit things. On the Vivian match it was 6-6 and that lag came into play

Personally, I really doubt that in that second that a player delays that they glance over at the opponents ball, figures the speed, then totally adjusts based on it watching it. Besides, you learn much more about the speed when the ball is slowing down and hitting the rail anyway and I've never seen a player wait that long. IMO its a non issue, unless of course its abused.

I agree with dedstroke38. Unless the second shooter is waiting until the first shooter's CB hit's the end rail, it won't make a huge difference. From watching the pros, rarely does the first player's CB pass the side pocket, before the second player strikes their CB. Of course, among pros, "at the same time" is usually how it's done (even though 'at the same time' is a relative term).

In international carom billiards, if the second lagger does not shoot before the first lagger's ball hit the far end cushion, the lag is replayed. If it happens twice for the same player, then that player automatically loses the lag.

Good rule, IMO.

Under WPA ("World Standardized") rules for pool, the lag must be redone if "a player’s ball is struck after the other ball has touched the foot cushion," but I don't see any mention of a penalty for successive occurrences.
