Should Regional Tours be Handicapped?

I would love to see all Regional Tour be Open events or at the minimum Amateur events with set guidelines as to who can or can not play and NO HANDICAPS but that is just my opinion.

What do you think ?

Good luck drawing players if they are NOT handicapped. Personally, I'd play SVB even for a $50 entry, but most players don't want to play another player that's only 1 ball better than them without a handicap...sheesh. It's the, "why spend $50 to play if I can't cash?" attitude, and if the sport wants to go on, much less excel, that attitude needs to change!! :sorry:

Handicaps ?

Midwest 9-Ball Tour gets good turnouts playing heads-up. The tournaments in Olathe(thanks Dan T.), Shooters in Wich.( ditto PaulW.) get big fields. They do have one in Cape Giradeau thats rated,and FREE, that is huge with a good calcutta. These events are held in good spots and Evelyn D. runs a great tournament. BTW, these are loser-break tournaments and this helps fill them big-time. Otherwise, all you're gonna do is watch David,Chip,Joey,Shane,Jessie, et.al. run racks.
