Should we change the rule of One Pocket ?

If they were playing so slow why didn't you just leave? Why punish yourself if the game is to slow.

Reasons:

• I wanted to watch a match that had promise -- old 1-P guru against champion rotation and 8-ball player who is still fairly new to 1-P. (Darren finished 7th in the event.)
• I was keeping track of a lot of statistics for all of the streamed matches, and didn't want to miss any of them.
• At DCC, streamed matches do not necessarily occur at pre-planned times. Leave during one match and you may also miss all or part of another.
• It was the 3rd (and last) game of the set that was horribly long, so I was already well "committed" to the match.
• I had paid $71 to watch the stream that week.

P.S. Had I not watched it, I would now be less knowledgeable (or opinionated, if you like) as to one of the problems with 1-P.:)

You can change the rules all you want, I don't play tournaments and so when I play I will keep playing with the rules me and my opponent agree on. That is the thing about matching up you and your opponent make all the rules. Texas Express turned 9 ball into a joke everyone plays perfect and when they don't they play safe. Now 9 ball is boring and that is why it is not on TV. So keep changing the rules and see if you can ruin another game.

I agree with the above.
9-ball was a lot more fun before the Texas Express rules
One pocket rules vary a little here and there, but not enough to really change the game.
One pocket is more of a gambling game, and any major changes would ruin the whole
concept, so I can't see it changing much or making it to television any time soon.
