Should you practice artistic billiards?

Let the OP or other posters practice these 3 Artistic 3C shots.

My table has pockets, so instead developing the stronger masse, I went for developing rail and multi combo systems.

Is there are modified version of the stroke for a pocket table?

Not one of these 3 shots would I not be able to make on a pool table because it has 'pockets.'

Most pool players will experience organized pool.

The ultra rare members of the pool community experience artistic billiards.

Its niche, its unusual and you get burn marks on your table.

The advantages to learning artistic billiards is in the teaching of a set stroke.

Artistic billiards is recommended if you have a player with lots of energy or interest setting up shots on the table.

Here is a simple exercise you can try with your family/friends. Set up a dead combo 8 to 9 in the side pocket.

Then ask if anyone can make the 9 ball. The requirement is the cue has to be shot from the rail side.

The incoming player has the advantage of placing the 1, 2 and 3 anywhere to help make the nine.

It can be exciting when players have never seen a dead combo before.

Should you practice trick shots? If you enjoy doing that, then go right ahead. Otherwise, I'd say no.
