What do you cuemakers take to your local room when you go out? I' ve seen it done both ways. One guy I know takes his top of the line, decked out cue with hopes to sell it. I 've also seen a couple cuemakers play with their sneakies or plain janes. I would also imageine theirs a few who take cues they made on speculation and sell them at the local hall. I was just wondering.

Some of the cuemakers I know who have time to play can't keep a playing cue for themselves...somebody always wants to buy it from them!

I almost never have my own cue. I do have my own shaft though. I only make around 2 cues a month right now. Every time I finally get one done it's gone too fast. It hard to keep them when you see others really enjoying your work. I do need to make myself one to keep as a player. When I do finally get a chance to play some.

Have one as a test subject I play with. Not top of the line not a pete but nice middle of the road. I built it for me not the guy in the hall. When I get around to building myself another one I will let this one go. Usually as soon as I get one for stock someone sees it and gone. Custom orders or whatever not enought time in the day to have a full time job and build cues. Sooner or later hoepfully it will be a full time thing.
