I made the January event and had a blast! Brett puts on a great tournament and the La. people really know how make it interesting!( Big Auction). I hope I can make this one.

Does this tournament usually get close to full or does it fill up at 128? When can you start signing up for this event? How many players did they have last time and who won it?

We have had this event 3 times. The first time (September) we had 83 players with $12,000 in calcutta money alone.
September finishers:
1st: Gary Abood
2nd: Bobby Johnson
3rd: Scotty Townsend
That was the top 3, I dont remember who all finished in the money

November's tournament was one for upsets with Gary not finishing in the money nor Jui Lung Chen. I dont remember all the players who got in the money but alot of them were locals. Top Finishers were:
1st: Robert Stewart(Waco)
2nd: Clint Freeman(tyler, tx.)
3rd: David G.(houston)

In January we had around 70 players and over $11,000 in calcutta money alone. The top finishers were:
1st: Steve rector
2nd: Jui Lung Chen(houston)
3rd: Bobby Johnson(local)
4th: Carl "snag" Smith(local)

It really is a great tournament and everyone speaks highly of it. It is def. worth the drive to come play. We have alot of talented players. Some of the players who have shown up include..David G., Erman Bullard, Gary Abood, Scotty Townsend, Steve Rector, Jui Lung Chen, Robert Clark, Mark Garza, James Davis Jr., and alot of local players who enjoy the tournament.


Our tournaments usually have around $15,000 or more and usually payout $4-5 thousand to win. Even though we dont fill it up we have alot of players who show up and we have big auctions. It is a 2 day event and there is alot of action. We have everything from $20 one pocket games to $1,000 sets of 9 ball. We have players from everywhere show. They come from Dallas, Houston, Waco, Monroe/Ruston, Tyler, Alexandria and all over the south.

You can register up to the day of the tournament but be sure to call a few days before to make sure we havent filled up so you can reserve a spot. We hope to see you at our next event. You will enjoy it. You can also call and give us your adress so we can send you flyers for our events. Bring your friends!!!!!!!!!!

Last time I was out, the Quality Inn was nice and reasonable and they have truckers rate. Any other option you'all might recommend for lodging?
