Side pocket relief

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how much side pocket stretch relief I should be using on my 8' brunswick sportsman? I watched the Simonis videos, but since they are on a 9' Gold Crown I have to assume that I shouldn't be using exactly the same amount of relief. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

On which Simonis video do they give the relief for a Gold Crown? On my Simonis DVD I think the example they show is on a Valley? Its a one piece slate table.

Same DVD, you skipped right past it to get to the valley. Over sized slates, meaning the rail bolts go through the slate into the rails share just about the same pocket curve in the side pockets, don't matter if it's a Diamond or GC, and yes, I'm aware the GC 1, 2 , and early 3 ' s have a slightly smaller curve in the side pockets, but in general they're all treated about the same. Bar table slates with the exception of Diamonds are for the most part undersized so don't apply to the same pocket indexing. And yes Rob, some corner pockets are flared out, but the don't get the side pocket indexing stretch, right?

Thanks, but what does dogged off mean?

Good question......
I got the auto spell thingy messing with me'
It was supposed to say lobbed not dogged... Sorry
Lobbed _= to trim off/miter.

If you are using simonis green standard 860 on a eight footer you'll want to use a touch less than what you see in the DVD.
From my experience...

Best of luck.

Don't matter Rob, I use the same slack on a Diamond 7ft. It's the pocket radius that makes the difference, not the size of the table.

Thanks for the replies everyone, we used the measurements from the video and things worked out really well.
