Just noticed that the Sigel vs. Reyes DVD is now available on the IPT website for $50. That's kinda pricey. Do people think it's worth the money?

Also, does anyone know when the $10 DVDs of the other matches will be available? And when the heck will they tell us news of the KOTH on TV! (I'm just as impatient as Bernie.)

$50 for one match? Some how I don't think they're going to sell out any time soon.

I guess nobody noticed they're charging $49.95 for the Sigel/Loree Jon match, lol. Or maybe I read that one wrong - perhaps they pay YOU $49.95 each time you watch it?

Anyway, $50 for the Sigel/Reyes match is a bargain when you think of the above. I was nervous what they were going to charge for matches that people might actually want to watch. I can see it now... "Reyes vs. Bustamante: $2,000. Includes a free entry into a 2011 IPT qualifier..."

Good point. After my initial post, I thought long and hard for a whole 30 seconds before biting the bullet and actually buying the darn thing. Do I still think $50 is too expensive for a single match? Yeah...but what am I going to do? The price will not be dropping. And besides, if the IPT continues to flourish, the DVD will be a collector's item. Not too many DVDs in the market that features a Reyes and Sigel final. And I doubt we'll ever see those two together in the finals of another tournament again (at least the Sigel part :p ).

I don't have a choice. I have to buy the match. I got lucky in my seating and got to sit with my girlfriend next to Efren's cornerman Bustamante. We're directly behind Efren so I know we're on it. My girlfriend has never really shown an interest in pool videos until this one.:D :D

Hey, if enough people cough up $50 for this DVD maybe people like Jay and Cliff will get paid the money they are owed from IPT.

I notice that although the IPT is claiming billing, staff difficulties in regards to paying the players it's business as usual at the website store.

LOL :D

I would say that $50 is more than excessive IMO. I can go to Walmart and buy anywhere from 2 to 4 movies for $50.

I think that 50 is abit steep when i payed close to that for the Classic USopen Match of Johhny Archer vs Efren Rayes with Phil Cappell doing a shot explanation at the end of the dvd...some how i just dont see it matching up to this Cd from Accu-stats...on a hill hill match race to 11

Does anyone know if there's any commentary on this DVD that should at least be gold plated for the price?

we, pool fanatics from the Philippines had the chance to watch the finals of this event... its a great coverage...

and BTW, the braodcast was shown on FREE TV:eek: ... not PPV... yes, you read that right.. we saw it on FREE network TV.. :D :D :D

Wow the gneral public watching pool, I don't believe you, Jake etc said thats impossible! Wow well wonders never cease!

I talked to Lindsey from the IPT at the EXPO. Very polite and helpful gal, I spoke to her a few times over the phone when they had problems with the last batch of DVDs... anyway... I believe she said that Kevin already signed deals in a few places over seas for broadcasting of the entire King of the Hill event and she stated here in America they are going over a couple more contracts before finalising a deal. ( I think thats what she said, I wasnt running on much sleep when I saw her. Hell I might have been dreaming the entire thing. LOL).

I was referring to Americans. We all know they will watch anything overseas. Even something as boring as snooker and soccer has tons of followers. LOL

Wait, I misread this. The One actually believes that KT can attract a TV audiance here in America. Maybe there is hope for him afterall. Now if we can only convert Timberly......

But that may be asking too much.

I don't need to be "converted" to be a believer and a supporter of the IPT. I am both but I also have questions about things and I disagree with certain things (not all but some).

What I am not is a blind follower happily going through life with my nose up KT's a$$. For that, I would have to be converted and you are correct, that would be asking too much. ;)

I just received the DVD in the mail on Friday the 7th. I ordered it Wednesday the 29th. So it took a little over a week to arrive.

I already watched the DVD twice. I'll be posting my personal review of the overall DVD production soon. For now, I'll just say it was a bit disappointing for $50.
