I use 860

860 is what I use at home.

No experience with the others. I don't like slow, backed or high pile cloth.

In my opinion, the cloth is only one component of playability, albeit the most important part. Humidity, slate level, cushion quality, ball quality, pocket cut, etc... all play into it. Lighting is also very important.

For you own table, you want everything professionally done with a quality cloth. But, when you play elsewhere, especially if you are in a travelling league, you'll have no control over the conditions. You'll need to adjust and 'learn' each table. Heck, even my antique 9' Brunswick I have at home has two different size pockets on the corners.

If the choice is between Simonis and Goorina, I would choose Gorina. But, the best cloth in my opinion is the Z9 cloth, I do not know if you have it over there. It is made by Klaus Zobrekis, a former top player and poolroom owner. He has designed this cloth to be durable and it is extremly consistent when it comes to speed over time. It does not wear down like some cloths have a tendency to do.

I have found the Simonis 860 HR stays consistent longer. My brother in law used Gorina in his pool room and it gets slick and very fast once it starts to wear.

I also really like the tour blue that Simonis has. Much easier on the eyes after a long session than the more traditional green.

I currently have Gorina 2000 on my table but I have had Simonis in the past. The 2000 plays like the simonis 760. My friend has simonis 860 on his table which is slower than mine so it is fun when we play on each other table. Forces us to adjust to the difference. I think they are both fine cloths. There is wisdom in using cloth that you might play on if you are in tournaments but for me the Gorina is very good cloth.

I don't think I have played on anything but Simonis since about 1975.......we even used in on the frat house pool table 1972-1977.

I haven't played on the gorina or 3030. I have simonis 860 HR on my table. The stuff is thick. It should last a good long while. I also like the speed of this cloth. My buddy has Andy's cloth I like that stuff as well. Plays quite a bit faster than my 860 HR though. Really have to watch the power.

In my opinion theres simonis and then everything else they've been perfecting their cloth since the 1600s and sponsor an awful lot of our tournaments no reason to fix something thats not broken again Imo
