Simonis 760 fuzz issue

We've been in business for almost 20 years and almost always used Simonis 760 for our tables. August 2013 we recovered our tables, with the same person we've used for 20 years. We've cleaned our tables the same way and same amount and the same person for the last 10 years. About a month or two later we started to notice fuzz on the rails then also on the bed of the table. After talking to a few room owners and table guys they've noticed the same thing. Has anyone noticed a change in Simonis 760 lately? I wonder if it's a wide scale thing or just a bad batch. The best part is when I called the company that I bought the cloth from they told me I had to of put the cloth on upside down. Well I informed them I have been helping do tables in my room for 20 years and the guy I use has been doing tables for almost 50 years they still insisted we installed wrong. All this after they shorted me on a 1/2 bolt that simonis said had 41 yards on it. We cut the table a few inches short to make sure we have enough and came up a whole bed short. Again we installed it wrong according to simonis and the company we bought it from. We've been huge fans of Simonis since day 1 for us but this has got me thinking if the options may be better. Looking to see if anyone has had pilling or fuzz balls on any of Simonis cloth that's been installed the last year or so.

860HR = High Resistance cloth

For comparison, since you have 760 on all the other tables, install 860HR on one table. After a few weeks, compare the wear and tear of the cloth. You will be pleasantly surprised how durable 860HR is. I believe it has 30% more nylon content than regular 860 cloth.

I had that issue one time and simonis would not exchange the cloth...it was very fuzzy and slow...I switched to championship tour edition 3030 and i get 30% more wear out of the tables with no loss in speed...In another few months I will have all 8 tables on championship cloth.

I changed to the Championship tour edition as well, and I can confirm the 30% longer wear. The players really have no preference one over the other

A 22-table room in Wake County, N.C. stopped using Simonis for just that reason. I'm personally a fan of Championship cloth for the reasons mentioned above. A few of the guys wanted me to try Simonis so I did, on one table. Within 4-6 weeks it was slower than the Championship cloth and definitely wore faster.
