**Simonis Cloth Poll**

Which grade of simonis do you prefer?

It's a tremendous difference in speed and play between the two grades of cloth ..and unless you have your own table,or run your own pool room,you really don't have much say-so as to the type of cloth that is used on the tables ..

So I started this thread to poll our members to see what's the cloth grade of choice on AZ .

I prefer the slower 860 in rotation games and 8ball ..760 in 1P,banks and14.1 ..
 
you should make it an actual poll so we can count it up easier.

I prefer 760 for everything. Less effort for me, greater moving ability, and I can't think of any time the added speed has bothered me or screwed me over. I can think of several situations where the extra nappiness of slower cloth meant I had to pound a shot a bit harder (and rattle it) or I'd hit a break shot in straight pool and end up with little reward.
 
I just got my home table set up recently, and although I am happy with it, I think I would have preferred 760 over the 860. 860 feels sluggish to me now. I also don't like how banks aren't as controllable via english with the 860. With 760, you can throw off banks more with small amounts of sidespin. I also have the 14.1 issue where you hit the break shot pretty good and only 3-4 balls pop out. I prefer 9-ball/10-ball on the faster cloth too. Maybe its still sliding a bit and skewing my opinion though....

However I have a friend who thinks all Simonis plays way too fast, so different strokes for different folks I guess.
 
i know this ones a litte off topic

whats the difference between YTT 333 and 888? as well as simonis 860 and 760?
