This is just a curiosity question on my part. I have had my Diamond table for a little over 2 years now, and while the cloth doesn't look as new, it actually looks quite good, really good as a matter in fact. I do vacuum it regularly, every two days or so. When I go out to play pool, some places tables just look used, and that's fine, but some places tables have cloth that not only looks well used but also has a shiny glossy, almost waxed look to the cloth. The one pool hall I first noticed this at was when I was traveling to see my son, and I stopped in one where he lives just to see what it was like. Their Goldcrown's cloth literally looked as though you burnished in a heavy wax coating. Yesterday afternoon by our summer house, the wife and I stopped at a different place than we normally frequent, and they had a diamond barbox there, and the cloth had the same worn waxy look to it. Table played ok, but honestly for a buck a game, I really prefer this other place we normally stop at that is 25 cents a game, but they are not open Sunday or Monday. At the first place with the Goldcrowns, the balls were nice and shiny, and I figured it might have been from them cleaning the balls so much and what they were using transferring to the cloth. But this bar yesterday, it for sure wasn't from cleaning the balls that I could tell. At home I clean mine every two to three weeks, or when company comes over, and I haven't noticed any transfer of wax. So, my question I guess, is it just really over worn cloth, or possibly ball cleaning solution transfer, or both?
