It seems like the original wrap on my Schon was thicker than what is available now,and the great old Joss cues from back in the late 80's/early 90's also had what looked like a thicker cord as well. I've also noticed that it seems like the advice given to people here on cutting wrap grooves suggests that the grooves are not as deep as they once were. Is this just me? Tommy D.

Hey Tommy,
I've been wrapping cues for 20 yrs. & in that time the thickness of the linen cordage has remained constant at .025". I have some old used Cortland that I have kept from a cue that I was asked to rewrap and it as well is .025".

Hulberts was known for having thicker linen before they got it right.
