Hi guys,

The earlier thread was deleted so here I am re-posting it. As some of you would have already read, Cyberrot and myself have been very keen to raise the awareness of custom cues in Singapore (see our blog at http://sgcues.blogspot.com/) and we organised the first ever Singapore Cue Exhibition on the last Sunday of 2009.

We had the company of 15 cue enthusiasts and exhibitors who contributed more than 30 cues for display. These represented works from 27 diffferent cuemakers - including Szamboti, Hercek, Haley, Schick, Omen, Edwin Reyes and many more.

A big thank you to everyone who made this possible, including Chiatlard and Icewalker who volunteered to take photos. Our appreciation also goes out to the door-gift sponsors - John Barton for sponsoring the UltraPad, as well as his help in customizing the leather burmisher; and Royston Chow for providing the Magic ball Rack.

See the following link to the slideshow of all 250 pictures:

In the meanwhile, here's some quick glimpse of the event:

Again, congratulations to you guys for a very nice show. I have been viewing the pics for two straight days now and am still as excited as the first time I saw them. It is just too bad for me that I missed this. Looking forward to the 2010 edition already.

I will like to extend a big "thank you" to Marcel and Benny for organising the Singapore Cue Exhibition 2009, and im sure all of us who made it there are very grateful for all the time and effort spent by both of you to make this event a success. Im sure next year's exhibition will be even better :D

ps. Thanks to the sponsors and photographers for letting us have something more than memories of this event.

Thanks Merwin. Pity I couldn't catch up with you when you were in Singapore as well - think I was stuck at work. Let's see if you can join us for the 2010 edition!!

I was lucky to be invited for this event and i would like to thank everyone who made it possible, especially Benny (roppongi), Marcel(cyberrot) and John Barton (JBcases). Cheers. :)

Nice pictures, thanks a lot for sharing!

Btw, the unknown cue labeled with "others" is a titlist conversion from the famous Bill Schick. Take a look at the Hoppe ring...

That's right. Somehow I missed out on that cue and did not have the label printed out. :sorry::frown::rolleyes:

Nevertheless a remarkable collection. :)
I've linked the pictures to our German billiard community, too.
These cues deserve closer attention...

A Chad Carter in Singapore! There sure are many different kinds! Does G-Man ever go to these?

Have a great time at the show! Thanks to Roppongi & Cyberrot for the efforts!!
This show only represent a small faction of cues been possessed by local collectors here. Hoped that this year's show will be a even greater one.

Snookered <=== bring 3 cues only

My Chad Carter plays really well too, that's why I spotted it. They are great cues.

Which one is G-Man?

the one with the gray hair? xD

and thanks to benny and marcel for making this years cue show such a success once more :):thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

yeah, everyone had a great time, thanks to Benny and Marcel for organizing it. Looking forward to the coming one.

Hey guys, thanks so much for your support. The exhibition would not have been possible without your attendance and cues :p :D

Can't wait to have the 2010 version as well. In the meantime, buy more cues so that we can have new stuff on display this year!

And also hopefully we can get some overseas friends to join us next time round.
