Singapore Cue Exhibition 2009

Hey guys, thanks so much for your support. The exhibition would not have been possible without your attendance and cues :p :D

Can't wait to have the 2010 version as well. In the meantime, buy more cues so that we can have new stuff on display this year!

And also hopefully we can get some overseas friends to join us next time round.

GRIN! more cues we would also need more budget and improved economy! lol with the petrol prices this way now :( its looking gloomy

Great exhibition~~~:)
Did Dennis Yeo and Boon Hui Yeo come there? I saw one SW cue should be Dennis' collection. :grin-square:

Hi guys,

The earlier thread was deleted so here I am re-posting it. As some of you would have already read, Cyberrot and myself have been very keen to raise the awareness of custom cues in Singapore (see our blog at http://sgcues.blogspot.com/) and we organised the first ever Singapore Cue Exhibition on the last Sunday of 2009.

We had the company of 15 cue enthusiasts and exhibitors who contributed more than 30 cues for display. These represented works from 27 diffferent cuemakers - including Szamboti, Hercek, Haley, Schick, Omen, Edwin Reyes and many more.

A big thank you to everyone who made this possible, including Chiatlard and Icewalker who volunteered to take photos. Our appreciation also goes out to the door-gift sponsors - John Barton for sponsoring the UltraPad, as well as his help in customizing the leather burmisher; and Royston Chow for providing the Magic ball Rack.

Nice show. I really like how you all grouped the cues by maker. That's a nice touch and really shows off each maker's work well.

Thanks for letting me be a small part of it and I look forward to next year's event and possibly making it in person. I have a few decal cues to show off

Hey John,

We should thank you for your sponsorship. And we definitely look forward to your presence next year!

Cars are liabilities. Cues are assets. Sell your car, buy more cues. :D

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I haven't owned a car sice moving to China and I prefer to keep it that way. I can hire a car with a driver every day if I wanted to and still spend far less than owning one would cost.

One person I know has a good $500,000 in cues and cases at least and he takes the bus wherever he needs to go.

Again, congratulations to you guys for a very nice show. I have been viewing the pics for two straight days now and am still as excited as the first time I saw them. It is just too bad for me that I missed this. Looking forward to the 2010 edition already.
Thank you, icedtea.
We hope to have you and your cues at SCE 2010 if possible. ;)

Yes, that cue belongs to Dennis indeed. He is the biggest SW cue collector in Singapore.

Which one is G-Man?
Check out the 12th photo of the gallery. I think he was shooting with a titlist cue in that picture.

Bro, I do not own a car and I still cannot buy a lot of cues.
I think getting a better paying job is easier...LOL!

Once again, thank you all especially the exhibitors and sponsors for making SCE 2009 a success.

We certainly hope that we can have more local exhibitors as well as some exhibitors from overseas.

Also wanna thank the owners for letting us try shooting these beauties. Every cue hits differently and has it's own distinct personality. And that pfd (not shown here) hits a beauty... Oh and the hercek... Omg the hercek!!! Can't put the feeling of hitting it in words.

Roppongi aka Benny and Cyberrot aka Marcel, i think you guys have to start planning on a date/month for this year's show soon :P looks like many others would like to start clearing their schedule.

Hi, Master Linds
As what Benny has posted, we are in the process of planning SCE 2010 and the date should be in the last quarter of 2010. :)

looks like i better start looking for smth to poison myself with :X :grin-devilish:
Hey, there is not a need to get a new cue for SCE 2010. It is perfectly fine if you do not have any cues to exhibit. Just come to join us for SCE 2010. We just love getting together to talk about cues nonstop.
However, if you need advice on what new cues to get, Benny has provided a very good list. :D
