Sinister Plots

Aside from sharking, there are a number of sinister plots that go on the gambling table.

One is putting saliva on an unattended tip or chalk. Sometimes, loosening the joint.

When you see people checking the rack before his opponent breaks, watch the hand resting on the table. Sometimes the fingers pull the cloth to loosen the rack.

Racking the balls high is a probable wing ball into the lower corner pockets in 9-ball, and the two balls next to the 1-ball into the side pockets in rotation or 8-ball.

Any more?

how about putting super glue on the joint ....

or use epoxy...

put the hardener on the shaft and the adhesive on the butt ...let the owner screw the cue together...hehhee...this way he wont blame anyone......

now that is bad....

rack the balls, but instead of putting the 9 in the rack, leave it out and place another 1 ball.... break like hell and say 9 on the break ..hehehe

I actually got away with this one.. I just left the 9 out and made a really soft break...and when I said 9 on the break..my opponent just scratched his head in disbelief...

I like that one! And I know just the guy to do it to. Oh my.

< racker has a glass of ice water and puts the condensation on one of his hands just before having to rack then wipes it into the rack area with his hand before racking the balls.

< racker bends his head real close to the rack and surrepitiously breaths moisture on the first three balls then spins them to were they meet.

I used to like to hide the 9 ball when the
other players weren't looking. talk about
stirring up some crap!

For what reason ?

Gabber,
I think it tends to weld the balls together and you get less ball movement with a solid break...could be b/s...:)

another thing to watch is players that use powder will pwder up and then wet their hands to rack the balls...this is one of the most effective racks there is...the balls wills get sticky and do nothing when you break

The folks you are speaking of are the real reason that pool has a bad name.

If we allow this to continue happening and make fun of it, where will our sport go??? Deeper in hell?

None of these tricks are funny.

The trouble is with those who do these things, they bring down our great sport.

I, had an, X, friend tell a story about playing one pocket. He says, he can rack them and no one can break balls out of the stack. walked around bragging about it. Didn't get any action at , rightfully so.

Pure scum bags, these type of people.

I wonder if all these guys are honorable in raising and teaching there children. Or do they teach them how to steal?

HEY, If the shoe fitts, wear it.

[ if you step in crap long enough, you turn to crap].

To the good honest folks, god bless.

Blud....I couldn't agree with you more. However some of it can be funny if amongst friends with no money involved.

Any of this nonsense in a tournament ought to grounds for throwing the offender out, permenantely. Isn't a joke when other people or money is involved.

blud..i never said i used that rack thing i mentioned but i have had it done to me...you need to direct your comments where they belong and not judge people by what they know and post...you're usally straight up but i think you're out of line here...no one said they were using the things mentioned...and as far as questioning people's ability as parents you might offend the wrong people...i myself am a parent and a damn good one i might add...posting what you know has nothing to do with character or parenthood..i agree if you use these tactics you are a lowlife...but the people who do use them well eventually get what's coming to them

I believe I'll take this one...

Reading this thread makes me wonder why more people don't play "rack your own balls". It sounds painful, but it is not, if you do it right.

Be it through carelessness or intentional maliciousness, if your opponent racks for you then you may be more likely to be the victim of a house rack.

The incentive to give a good rack to yourself is much higher than the incentive to rack right for your opponent. Your opponent will most likely feel more motivated to rack right for himself than for you, as well.

It seems like a win- win situation to me. Each player can certainly examine, comment on, even protest the other's rack, but when whitey flies off the table or no balls hit a rail, whose fault is it? The racker/ breakers, solo.

Blud, lighten up. In my story if that's the worse
thing I do I think I'm an alright guy. And I
did give them back their 9 ball after they
looked around for a while.

I agree with you Blud. I think that this thread is educational. How can this stop if people are not aware of it?

The terrorists are different from the bomb disposal unit, but they both know the one thing that they deal with.

I saw 2 real old time hustlers playing each other in Mobile years ago. Those two were pullin out the tricks on each.......its was a site to see. One was keeping all the chalk so the other guy always had to ask for it. They were playing on a bar box....so every once and awhile one of them would jump at the pocket to catch a ball because " WE NEED ONE MORE". And the best one....the guy was shooting the 9......with the other guy standing in his line as always........but this time as he is messin with his tip..he drops his cue before the guy shoots! hitting the table!

Yes, you may be right, but some take somethings the wrong way.

If we all told stories of good times instead of bad times, it would have an influance on our game.

I have been here a long time, and have seen all kinds of scams. It would be better if we left them where they belong, in the craper.

We should all try our best to make our sport, cleaner and better for our children.

Reminds me when my brother thought it was time for him to talk to his 7 year old daughter about sex, he asked her if she knew how babies were born. She said "yes... they fcuk".

Blud, this thread is nothing like the other nasty threads in this forum. I do get your point though. Let's just hope people read on and be on the defensive side of sinistry in pool. Still, I would encourage the more experienced players to educate the others on how they can be cheated out of victory.

I want to be your friend, Blud. I don't want to get on your bad side like how Joseph Cues did in the other thread! lol

Cheers!
