I have been using Sir Joseph Gloves now for the better part of 3 yrs. I must say the quality of the gloves are starting to get bad.

I bought 2 this year at the SBE and it hasn't even been that long and i have already torn them apart.

Usually the first thing to go is the inseam between the Thumb and Index. Next is usually the finger tip pad on the Index and Ring. Usually i just cut that part off when it gets worn down.

I have had to turn my gloves inside out to get a little more life from them. I like Sir Joseph bc they are the only company that makes them in a Tan color. I wish there was a better quality glove that didn't look so tacky color wise.

I agree with you been playing pool in APA for 3 years and the gloves do fall apart too easy, gone through 5 but I will also say I really like using there glove which is why I keep buying them

Predator is the best glove around, it also cost less than the other brands
 
Lefty

I too have had these fall apart. Cant seem to find good gloves to fit on my right hand as a lefty shooter
 
I still feel that the Blakeman glove by Carl Blakeman, the original patent holder, remains the best glove on the market both in fit and durability.
 
I'll have to give blakeman a try since it's becoming hard to find predator gloves. sir joseph have been getting bad for a while to be honest. I can have a predator for 4 or 5 months before I get a little hole some where in it but it still fits perfect. I play at least 2 hours a day so that's pretty good. Sir joseph started fitting terrible with in a week or 2 and you could see the threads are already coming out when you took them out of the bag

I recently bought a Nick Varner glove from Seybert's. It was like $10 but it is a good quality, is fingerless which I like, it even has a heel pad. Overall a good quality glove IMHO.

Being lefty it seemed like Sir Joseph was the only option but I thought they were poorly made and they rip fairly quickly.

I don't use a glove often but the Varner glove is my choice from now on.
 
My son uses a glove and they do tend to wear out pretty fast, he's on his second on in about a year and we only play 2 times a week, maybe 3 times a week once a month.

I don't think it's anything with the quality, it seems to me they just can't make them too durable or they will feel too thick and the stitching will be rubbing your hand.

He likes the gloves with the leather rest on the palm that seems to start try to pull away from the glove also.
 
I'm supposed to start making some at home. But finding quality fabric ain't easy.
