Okay, as promised, here is a close-up of the points veneers and inlays. As you can see, the color and grain are present.

Ahnd here is a pic of the butt section. As you can see, the burgundy is much more noticeable than in the previous pics posted in the 'other' thread. ;)

How much play will it see?

It looks wonderful!

Well, unless I am going to play someplace unsavory, this is my everyday player. I cannot afford to collect, and picked the woods based on playability, not just looks. I received it last Wednesday, and played with it on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday (money shoot), and last night (another money shoot). I will probably go out and play here at home again today. My back has been out since last Thursday, so I have been taking meds to knock the pain back so I could play. I am settling in with her just fine, but am sure I will do much better once I am not so stiff from my back, not to mention the borderline migraine headache. Feels like a pinched nerve......man, am I addicted or what?!

FWIW, I hope you're feeling better soon :)

Dave <---- wishes he could get to go out and shoot 4 nights a week.

The cue looks wonderful. The colors in the lizard wrap seem to match really well too. The darker colors match the color of the rosewood well and the lighter colors help to bring out the pink ivory! Great looking cue Lisa. I'm envious...lol.

I have had issues with lower back problems for years and last summer lost a couple of weekends of playing the game. (This happens with getting older I guess.)
Somewhere around this past fall, I started a program that included crunches on the yoga ball, some pilates exercises and other exercises. I am happy to say my morning stiffness is under control and my lower back is getting stronger.

Give it a try and hopefully you too can have 52 straight weeks of bending over the table to work on the stroke with that AWESOME CUE OF YOURS.

Thanks Myron.......unfortunately, it is not my lower back. It's in my upper back and into my neck. They have been worried for years that I might have degenerative arthritis in my neck. I woke up Thursday morning with a nasty headache and unable to really move my head easily. Today seems to be better...at least the headache is at bay. Still not 100%, but hopefully I will get there.

Had a chance to see the cue up close at that Saturday shoot. What jumped out at me when it was put under the table lights was the fantastic piece of curly maple used on the forearm and the grain of the rosewood. Feels as good as it looks too.

Nice cue Lisa. :D
