I just got these pics from Skip of my completed cue....and I couldn't be happier with the way the design elements all came together!!

Skip was trying to get the cue to photograph lighter, so that the true color and grain of the rosewood could be seen, but to no avail. I suspect because it is against a white background, which tends to reflect the light back at the camera making everything darker than normal.

At any rate, I just cannot get over how vivid the pink ivory is in this cue! At the last minute, and because he really, really, really wanted to, Skip installed a burgundy lizard wrap...as the rosewood has a dark burgundy color to it.

I'll take more pics of her once I receive her sometime early to mid-week, next week. I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!

Wow. It looks great. Better than I expected. The color of the wrap really brings the cue together.

Looks great Lisa! Can't wait to see more pics and hear how you like the way it plays!!

Have to agree - looks great.
Love the lizard wrap and the colors blend together very well.
Nice design and nice selection of wood.

i really like the curly maple forearm. that's one of the nicest pieces of curly maple i've seen. very nice cue.

Nice Cue Lisa

I'm sure it will play as nice as it looks. I've owned two of Skip's work and they hit so good. Great choices you have made.

Beautiful cue! I didn't look at your name before I opened the pic's and was questioning the testosterone level of someone who would have that cue built. Guess I was right...considering you don't have any Lisa :o LOL...

Again gorgous cue!! Let us know how it plays.

Thanks for the compliments! I am so happy that my vision of this cue was executed so well by Skip, better than I could have even hoped for!!

The pricing on this cue was actually pretty reasonable considering how much time went into this cue. Anytime you divert from the more usually used inlays, or create new ones, it increases the time and work that a cuemaker must spend on that cue.....and we all know....time is money...lol. Also, I really wanted to do something different from Skip's norm and use the rosewood as the rings as opposed to the phenolic. And there is actually quite a bit of pink ivory in the cue's inlay and ringwork, adding again. Besides, you only go around once in life, and this is not something I get to do everyday...not by a stretch! Other than my SP, which will become my breaker, this is my only other cue....and a keeper to be sure. So in the grand scheme of things, to me, it's priceless.

Once I have received it, lunchmoney has offered to photograph it for me down at the local poolhall....which I thought was really nice of him to offer. So I hope to have some more pics late next week.:D

Great choice on the wrap and the cue is stunning.

I'm happy and sad as I was hoping we would receive them at the same time.
More happy than sad though :)

Lisa, as for cues that are obviously a woman's.....this may just be the best looking one I've ever seen.

I'm offended by your Chauvenistic post, you might want to read threw our rules here, there is no reason to insult someone or their cue. I am going to file a complaint with the boards moderator, there really is no place for this type of behavior, if you have nothing nice to say why didn't you just not post at all. Your compliment at the end is a weak disguise for your anti feminest sentiment at the begining. Cues are inanimate objects they are neither men's or woman's. I am truly offended by your mean spirited remarks, I hope you will edit them.

Uhhh.... may I suggest that you switch to decaf lattes from now on?? Haha!

Hey Jim,

don't be such a literal, sensitive dick. he was clearly trying to compliment a beautiful cue. I agree, by the way. this cue clearly has a feminine design, and you know what.... I like it! While you're at it, you can have me thrown off too.

Jim, it's people like you that make me not want to be a part of this forum. you are not here to contribute, but instead to cause trouble for everyone else. get a hobby.

Wow.

There was no such intent or insinuation or anything meant other than complimentary.

Jimbo, coming from you, I will just shake my head.

Lisa, I hope you understood the *real* compliment that was made and not allow him to infer otherwise.

To be honest when I first read the description of the cue I did not think I would like it. After seeing progress pics and now the finished product I would love to have a cue like this in my collection. I dont see why heart inlays means the cue is for a woman. I think they are a unique touch. Some think pink ivory or purpleheart is girly as well.
