CUE IS TRADED - THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INTEREST.

Beautiful cue in great, played condition, with only minor wear. 4 Rosewood points with ivory Hoppe ring, 4 veneers (maple, brown, salmon, purple) made from real wood - Skip doesn't dye his veneers - green/white linen wrap. Beautiful highly-figured maple forearm. Signed and dated "Skip Weston 03".

2 shafts of non-ivory material - very smooth with no dents. One is 13mm, 3.9 oz, unknown tip, some ferrule discoloration. The other is 12.6mm, 4.0 oz, Talisman medium. Both hit fantastic but I actually prefer the thinner one.

This is one of Skip's good ones - hits fantastic. The joint is 3/8x10 flat-faced wood-to-wood, black phenolic collar with red dash ringwork. 15.2 oz butt

Complete set of smooth ebony joint protectors included.

Nice cue! That would make a great player for someone who wanted a custom and at that price they wouldn't have to spend a ton of cash. Good luck with the sale.............

Very Nice Cue

That cue looks kinda familiar Scott. A very nice playing cue as I recall. Good luck with the sale! ;)

Available again

Ok, as happens way too often on AZ, the sale(s) did not go through to completion. If you are interested in the cue - at the price listed above - PM me please. If you want it for less, please DO NOT PM me :) - it will go to ebay in a day or two.

Thanks!

Edited to remove my venting over AZ deals :)

Cue is no longer available - traded for another one.

So far I have had 3 deals fall through on this cue - two sales and a trade, which is why if the current trade falls through, the cue is either off to ebay or off the market.

For inquiring minds, here's the butt, sans bumper:

Scott - had you accepted my offer, you would have avoided all this frustration. It's your call now as to whether or not it was worth $40. Regardless, thanks for showing me the cue. :)

Regards, Dave.

Dave, you PM'd telling me you were offering my FULL price - which was $800. Then you had me show up and you lowballed me thinking it wouldn't be worth my trouble to reject you reduced offer.

I wouldn't have taken $799.99 from you at that point.

This cue was in my collection before I sent it off to Scott a few weeks ago.
If your looking for a solid player, this is it. One of the three finest playing cues I have come across. Good luck on the sale Scott, buyer will be very happy with this one. David

Pls point out to me exactly where I offered your full price.

Thanks David. The trade is done and I'm shipping the cue in the morning. As you promised me, it is a solid player. This was the last in a series of 'experiments' I was going through, trying cues by different makers - I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, especially the thinner of the two shafts.

It is a stiffer/harder hit than a Mottey or Scruggs, but softer than the 3/8x11 pin cues I normally hit with - Zylr,Tucker,SouthWest. I highly recommend at least trying a Skip Weston with the 3/8x10 pin - also, his points and veneer work are impeccable. If I ever design my own cue again, and Skip will make a 3/8x11, I might very well get him to do the work.

Your "break" is that you can go off and buy a cue that you like better, for a lower price. I do have a life, which is why I don't have to deal people like you.

It's a great way to be.

...and....the cue is now traded, so this thread is dead and I will end my subscription to avoid additional wasted dialog.
