He has a sense of humor. My seat is right where the players wait to be announced, so it's a bit awkward, they stand next to me for 5 long minutes. I don't want to get in their head so I just do kakuro puzzles and try to ignore them. Jennifer Barretta took a photo of Shane waiting and you can see me doing puzzles. A friend knows someone on team USA and sent him the photo. So I'm watching the match, next thing you know Sky, a security guard and this guy from team USA approach me with this photo and start telling me that this kind if behavior is bad for the team's demeanor and if I don't start cheering more I was going to be escorted from the building. I explained I didn't want to get in the players head, Sky said I was in his head because I was being such a mood bomb, I was speechless. Then they let me off the hook and gave me an autographed 8x10. Too funny.

I don't know how to post the photo but if someone does I can send it to them.

He is a character and great representative for our sport.

No pressure...just a few guys getting together for some friendly short races...

Have to admit..very impressed with Skyler Woodward. One hell of a rookie performance.

Thats like the best story I've ever heard….. Super props for Skyler for being human….

I also think it is his ability to really enjoy this experience that has allowed him to play so well. He's actually having a good time…. its like he "gets" to play in the Mosconi Cup… instead of he "has" to play in the Mosconi cup, which is what I think the other Americans look like at times.

great read friend!

It is good to see a mature young American man representing our game. We could use more like him. What a class act. How good will he be in 10 years?

Haha, nice story!

P.S. thanks for introducing me to a new game :)

Yeah Nateobot Kakuro is much harder than Sudoku. I would have shat my pants if Shane had been the one to prank me.

I figured this was as good a time as any for a first post considering the slim odds involved here. My dad sent me the pic below on Monday. He must be 3 seats down from you. Lean over and say, "Hey JennersvilleJim(az handle) Zac says hello.

BenWah get on the Crazy Train!
;)

Not quite as good as me having Earl call you to "bark" at you for not showing up in Omaha for his tourney against Johnny. Especially when I heard you say "sorry Earl" ;)

If I didn't know what a sweetheart you be, i'd say, by the looks of your picture, you did the boys a favor.

Chi-town represent.

That was definitely a memory I will cherish, and you got me good that day! I owe you for that, classic :)

(I was referring to the OP's Ozzy shirt in the picture) :)

...USA better pull it together or they're going off the rails...(another bad Ozzy reference)

And yes I'll share Wayne's sentiments, welcome Ben, good to see Chicago representing in Vegas!
