"sleeper cues" lets see them

I picked this Scruggs up for 200 hundred on craigslist. Old road player guy who was a blackjack dealer at a nearby casino was selling it. One of the shafts had a crack in it that Tom Coker repaired. I sold it, and the buyer had it refinished. I always thought that was such a huge mistake. The cue was so cool with the old patina. I should have kept it...

Richie Riches sneakie

No way.
Just got this for a friend.

Here's one I used to own. It had a bunch of battle scars in all the right places and played like a dream.

I feel we're gonna see a lot of collarless sneakies.

Best feel in terms of vibrations out of any typical cue IMO.. Nothing really beats it. Every now and then there's a cue that may, but those are few and very far between I think.

Plain Janes and sneaky Petes

I have a one piece maple butt with a white/green linen wrap that is a monster.

Jim Pierce.6 Ebony points on an Ebony forearm.Everything white is Ivory. Wasn't super expensive and plays as well or better than any cue I ever owned.Kind of 'plain' but plays like a very high dollar cue.The hit on this Ivory jointed Ebony nose cue is sweet.Stiff hit with excellent feedback. The short Ivory 'through ferrules' ( capless ) have very low if any deflection.

If this cue is a sleeper then most cues are vegetables or corpses.

Yeh,I guess you're right. Not so much a sleeper, but not really expensive.I guess my point was that it plays way above it's dollar value. Thanks for the correction.Have a great day.

One of my favorite playing clubs. I had the standard Schmelke uniloc pin taken out and replaced with a brass Radial.
