SLIO2007 Video from Final Match / 1400+ Photos Available

Sang Lee International Open 2007 has just finished this past Sunday.

If you'd like to get a feel of the intensity during Caudron / Sayginer final match. Please check http://pl.cuetable.com/showthread.php?p=919#post919 for Video/Story/Photo/Layouts of this exciting game which ended 40-39 in 28 innings.

After the award ceremony, Semih gave another great show again, with many new tricks never revealed before. At the peak point of the show he even invited Jeanette to the table and did a magical masse to have the cue ball swerving around her body. Afterwards, Carom Cafe owner Ms. Lee provided many different delicious food for all visitors (200+ people) to enjoy. The festive atmosphere filled the all room as the bottles opened here and there. Players from different parts of the world gathered in groups discussing new shots and layouts. On the big screen TV there was a slide show of the event for people to recollect their memory. Ramon Rodriguez of Peru volunteered to play some happy tunes on the grand piano. Everyone was having a great time.

I have just created a gallery to host all 1400+ photos taken at the event. Please stop by and check them out at http://cuetable.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=5268&g2_page=1 .

Kudo's to Charles Brown, Ira Lee, Ming Jae Pak and Michael Kang on a job well done. We look forward to seeing more successful events like this soon!

Despite his unfortunate losses in the qualification round for A final (which became a chance for Semih to tease him), Blomdahl performed well throughout the event with great hearts. His last tournament match with Raymond Ceulemans will soon to be a classic textbook material (available soon from CaromTV.com)

Other than being the best in the world, he truly is a spectacular person in life. I was honored to record an hour of video interview with him discussing his personal insight on billiard. This was quite an inspiring experience. Hopefully we can edit the tape for everyone to see what goes on in the mind of a genius.

Before we come out with the interview, you might find few more interesting things about him here:
