My 8 yr-old Olhausen has always played what I feel is slow. The Olhausen nameplate indicates Accu-fast cushions, but I have no idea what cloth is on the table. Before reading the messages on this forum, I thought that perhaps the table needed new cushions, but now am wondering if it might be the cloth that is slowing things down. By 'slow' I mean that if I shoot from headspot toward footspot, the cueball will travel maybe 3.5 - 3 .75 table lengths before stopping. A 5-rail shot attempt, shooting with all I can deliver will just make it to the corner pocket after traveling 5 rails. I know Ive shot on tables where the cueball traveled 6 rails with no trouble at all. I do want to speed up the play, and intend to replace whatever is necessary to do so. Cloth? Cushions? Both?
