Sly cues

i am close to being ready for my next cue.. and i have now seen a couple of his cues on here from time to time... i did talk to him for quite a while and he was informative and helpful.. he also has no way for me to see his work. except for the few i have seen posted here... can any one post pics and describe ??? thanks
 
I have a number of cues that leon Has built me and they are top of the line ok with me. Everything I asked for , And if you ever need anything he will take care of you . Thats why I am a repeat customer.Leon is tops in my book <<ED
 
I bought a cue from Leon that he was selling for a friend, so I can't tell you much about his cues other than they look fantastic. What I can tell you is he's a straight shooter and came through for me on every end. He gave me every detailed spec I asked for.
Over the last couple of years I've seen a bunch of his cues on AZB and I know sooner or later I'll own one.
 
I have 2 Sly cues. One is a conversion cue that has a very similar hit to my Bob Frey cue. The other is a Sly jump/break that hits a ton. Both cues look great and and are extremely well built. If you do a search of Leon Sly you'll see my cues as well as others that have been sold here.
 
I have 2 of Leon's sneakies. They are well made and play great.
I consider Leon a friend as we used to have lengthy long distance BS sessions frequently. He was very helpful and open to a new guy breaking into the repair biz. As a person to deal with and cue maker, you won't find any better, honest, up front guy to do business with.
When you see the quality of his craftsmanship, you'll know why he can talk the talk and walk the walk.

I heard some good things about him on the forums and bought a used one here on AZB. It's a pj and has become my player. It has a hard tip on it and I was wondering if anybody has played with a medium or soft tip with his cues?

I have owned several Sly's they all hit good ... I have a cue I call the green monster that Sly built and sold me it has been my player for a while now. All Sly cues hit with pretty much the same consistant hit and it is a very good feeling cue. Also if you ever get ready to sell they hold thier resale value well... I have also been privledged to visit Sly's shop he has a really nice set up and woods that he has been setting up forever letting cure... He also has some really nice pieces of wood and all the tooling to do it good... I would not hesititate to buy another Sly...
