Hi everyone.

I've started playing pool again in the last 3 months. My aim is to get to 50 balls by April next year.

Here's an attempt I had yesterday. Concentration beat me in the end. Maybe a little excited id be on another break out ball.

The break out balls are the hardest part for me so I think by reading a few of the straight pool books I might have a better idea of strategy towards the end.

Anyway feel free to let me know where I'm going wrong during the rack. I know those last few balls were terrible but I kinda freak out when there are balls left where the rack goes.

Anyway I'll keep on practicing.

Thankyou for the tips and advice in advance guys.

Dave.

Try eliminating the balls in the rack as soon as you can so you won't stress about them later.

In both racks first shot after the break you turned the cue ball loose and hoped for the best. Try developing a strategy for a more controlled game.

Second rack you had a cluster near the foot spot and waited until hear the end of the rack to break it open. It is usually better to take care of those problems earlier in the rack.

You also did a lot of thing right so keep playing, you will get to 50.

Great run! Especially on a bar box! You managed the balls well. As stated, hit them smoother. I practice on my bar box at ohme all the time and playing smoother break shots is imperative to controlling the rack.

I love to see the encouraging words of wisdom from the experienced players helping a newcomer!! Wayyyyy Cool:-)
