Smoking in your pool room?

Penna.

Pa. recently passed a no smoking law, now were waiting for them to decide on who can and who cant allow smoking. Personally I quit 5 years ago and the smoke in my room doesn`t really bother me that much. I have a couple air purifiers and it helps.

I just hope that they just make it so its everywhere and not just certain businesses. I will be doing a lot of advertising that im non smoking now if it happens that way.

Because no one complains about someone else NOT smoking near them.

Smoking affects other people. A lack of smoking does not.

Look, I just think it should be up to the owner of a place whether or not it is non-smoking. Then everyone can decide if they want to go there or not. My boyfriend doesn't smoke so I don't smoke in our house or in his truck, but when we go to the pool room, there is no way in hell that he would ask me not to smoke. It is a bar.......
I really hate for most of the people on here if they ever come up with some kind of way to ban gambling ( and actually enforce it ), but I guess that would be ok with all the non-smokers who will then have their health and their morals all in check.

Total ban will become law in Oregon on January one. No smoking in any bar, pool hall, bowling alley, you name it. I don't smoke, other than the ocassional stogie...but this is no longer a land of personal choices and freedoms. The nanny state is here.

don?t be a pessimist no smoking will be better then before

Not everyone can buy that. I also smoke whenever it's pool for me, but I'm a non-smoker. The hard fact that the general population perceive is once you smoke one cigeratte you're a smoker for life. Maybe it's just me but reality is cruel.

"I smoke, but I'm not a smoker"

Reminds me of an old Onion "editorial" - warning, not safe for work or Republicans:

Enjoy! :D
Good one. This is the problem with mankind, depending on how twisted the mind is, 'smoking' itself can insinuate many more meanings. I leave it to the general public to imagine..

Like the gentleman from Jacksonville said, here in FL you can still smoke in pool halls, night clubs, and certain bars.

I'm a smoker and I wouldn't mind a ban. Between my mom and my girlfriend giving me hell everytime they see me light up, my smoking's been confined to rush hour traffic and when I'm playing pool/drinking with the guys.

I play at Sharpshooters in Miami and I've never ever had a problem leaving my cue on the table whenever I have to go downstairs and out to the car for something or a phone call. If there's someone in the room that I don't particularly trust because of their reputation, I'll ask someone to keep an eye on my case.

My biggest problem would be the nights that I go just to drink. I pretty much chain when I'm drinking.
