Does anybody know of a place that I can have a quality snake skin wrap put on my cue? I have seen some with python skin and it looks very nice but from what I understand it is very hard to work with.

thank you.

I bought a real reticulated python snake skin (15" x 5" Grade A) from: http://www.snakepit-enterprises.com/

Their price was what I considered fair and shipping was fast.

The skin was with no holes and belly cue - so the back of the snake was used.

AnnieO installed the wrap - which ended up completely clear coated over the top. This is so the scales do not pop up.

The cue looks geat and I get a lot of complements on it.

Castillo

Castilloleathergoods.com has some artificial snake skin that you could use and could not till the differance after the clear coat. LES

I think i have like 4 or 5 of them, i bought a long time ago , for sure a neat looking cue, if your around tomorrow i will see if i can take some pictures via i figure out how to do it on the pc misplaced a cord that goes to the camera to the pc

Ya know.....I was gonna go for a stacked wrap when Uncle refunds my money he has been using all year....But now that I see these wraps I'm reconsidering. I have a Schon LTD with a native american motif of sorts. I think a diamond back rattler skin would compliment the looks and add to the native american feel. I would presume these skins are readily available. Anyone ever used one ????

I have a friend of a friend who showed me some cues he bought a long time ago in the Phippines. A couple of them had cobra skin wraps. Man, they were exotic. I've been around fancy cue sticks for a long time and I had never seen anything like this. I hope we can arrange to have pictures of them posted on here soon.

if i remember right there was a cue maker named Bing that also did the exotic stuff but for the life of me i cant remember if he did his work out of the Phippines or not.

Snake Skins

Seems like to me , if you play alot of pool, a snake skin, being so thin, would wear through fairly easily for a player that plays alot!

I've got some copperheads and rattlesnake skins that I've had done in hat bands and lighter holders, you can read a newspaper through them.

You might consider a leather embossed wrap. If you use a real skin and don't clear coat over it you might lose some scales. With a leather embossed wrap you won't have to clear coat over it. This is the route I took.

A rattle snake won't have a big enough girth to wrap a cue with, too much belly, the only option would be to use two backs which makes for two seams and a lot more work, better to find a different breed of snake

Hello
I have a cue almost identical to the top cue in this picture but with no maker's Mark. Can you tell me what brand that one is?
Thanks, Steve B (Grizzed)

Hello VIC,
If you are still active after 7 years can you tell me the type of Cue (top one in the picture)? I have one almost identical with no makings.
Thanks, Steve (Grizzed)
