was reading how much of a pain it is on cue makers and want to see if its easier to buy one than have one made

This isn't Snakewood but it's rarer from what I am told. Great cue and its got a SIMILAR look. A few people thought it was Snakewood.

I would contact Chuck Starkey. He had a Merry Widow style for sale recently in the For Sale section for under $400. It sold, but he is an active cuemaker and might be able to just make you another.
