I don't know the different woods very well. Could these cues actually be Snakewood? I thought rosewood. $300 to $500 I wonder who did that appraisal.
http://cgi.ebay.com/palmer-pool-cue...tcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem NOT my listing!!
Shoot Guys, they really are very nice cues. But, for $150 delivered USA I will ship you these 2 brand new ones. There are 10 different forearms available. Please PM if interested in these or more. I have at least 4 AZers who have purchased these already. :) They have all been quite pleased with recieving a good product at a fair price.:)

Well the auction referenced closed at $295 plus $29 s/h. I wonder if the porper case is at least leather? The way I got it figured the guy overpaid by at least $175.

So does any one want the pair of cues I have on hand. I do take paypal or postal money order. $150 deliver USA for both cues. They make a great pair with the opposing forearm configuration and the blue/green Predator like veneer colors.

Got ya Chris, Thanks I knew it wasn't. I just meant little more believeable:confused: I am just sort of venting. I just hate seeing rip-off listings on the same stuff I am willing to give people a very fair deal on.

I agree with all that there is no snakewood in that cue.

However, I would like to point out that the wood that is snakewood does not all have to be figured in the way we normally see it used in pool cues. Unfigured snakewood, which is called letterwood, can look like rosewood. I would say it mostly looks like rather dark Goncalo Alves. One probably could use the unfigured stock in a cue and most would never know it to be snakewood and claim it not to be. The unfigured variety is supposed to be more stable and not as diffficult to season. Since most people don't care about the unfigured pieces, it is naturally much cheaper. Just a little snakewood trivia for you all..

What type of joint/pin do they have?

Better picture of #5

Some of you ask for more pictures. Here's #5  They still suck. Don't pay no attention to the wavy lines. The points are sharp trust me!

Snakewood

Metal5,
That is a beautiful example of Snakewood in your photos. In 1990 Bill Shick made me an 8-point cue with small amounts of snakewood inside of the ivory ovals in the butt. At that time according to Bill, snakewood was a very rare wood.

Regards,
Hal

Dan Dishaw does nice work with snakewood. His personal cue is a solid piece of Snakewood. Here is a pic of the buttsleeve.
