Sneaky Bastard from Florida

Just got a Dennis Searing shaft to pair up with my Murray Tucker Sneaky butt.

Got the original Tucker shafts stashed in the case.

Needed another shaft to bang around with.

It is the only shaft I have now that has an ivory ferrule.

I am calling this rig the Sneaky Bastard from Florida since the collars don’t match.

The butt was made in 2000 and is one of the first five cues Murray ever made.

Tucker Cue Works motto: Harder to get than a Searing.

What’s rarer than a Dennis Searing or a Murray Tucker?

A Dennis Tucker bastard child!

Why did you want a Searing shaft ?
And not try to get another tucker or someone else shaft?
last question
why are you not using the Tucker shafts?

Everybody who has a Searing raves about his shafts, so I wanted to try one out and see for myself how they play.

Also, I wanted a shaft with an ivory ferrule.

Tucker isn’t making cues anymore and I haven’t seen a Tucker shaft for sale.

Plus, I have two Tucker shafts already.

My Tucker shafts are nice and cleaned up and I wanted another shaft to play with so I could keep the Tuckers all clean and shiny.

:)

I hope the shaft meets or exceeds your expectations

I have a sneaky bastard as well. A old retired Predator SP, with a Tiger X shaft. Really pairs well together. 👍

I used to watch Wild Kingdom With Marlin Perkins.

I don’t think he knew much about cues.

He used to always say tigers were predators.

I always felt sorry for Jim. Hanging half off the side of a moving jeep, trying to lasso a moving Rhino. 😳 Marlin must have been a real prick. 😉

I say that all the time, too.

”Folks, what we have here is a deadly, wild, 200 pound, rabid animal with 1,000 gnashing teeth and 8-inch razor-sharp claws down in this hole”.

”Jim, jump down in that hole and drag that SOB out here so we can show the audience “.

Either Jim was secretly Clark Kent, or simply Jim Ignatowski. We may likely never know. 😂

You don't tug on superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger
And you don't mess around with Jim

Of course you're talking about Jim Fowler. Giant of a man. My first summer jobs were at the Wildlife Preserve, Largo Maryland, 1974 and 1975. Jim was helping set up the place, fencing, figuring out where to place animals, etc. Very nice guy. I went on to handling alligators for a couple summers, with his training. Most fun job ever. I was quick back then.

All the best,
WW

I hit some with the Sneaky Bastard for the first time today.

It hit really nice and I had quite a bit of fun.

The Searing shaft with the ivory ferrule was a good purchase.

That is very cool. Can't tell you how many times I watched that show, thinking that Mr. Fowler was one bada$$ gent. 👍

Yes, a very cool guy. He was more profane in person than on the tv show, of course. He didn't like how many trees had been removed for the Preserve, and said more than once, They must have thought they were building a f*cking golf course...

Did Perkins ever visit the preserve?
