Why do the shafts have two different size pilots?
Good questioned.

The cue was only made with one shaft and at some point in its life someone added a second Searing shaft to it that does not match aesthetically but does match functionally.

Does not speak for repeatability for Searing. For that kind of money the shaft pilots should have been exactly the same.
I tend to agree. If I'm paying that kind of money for a "plain jane," it would be nice aesthetically speaking, to have "matching" shafts. Not the end of the world, but I understand. 👍
